Title: Technical Program Manager V

Location: Redmond, WA

Pay Rate: $210,288 - $230,776 per year

Duration: 10-months with possible extensions

Non-negotiable Qualifications:

• Background in optical systems, LCD displays, micro OLEDs, or material science within optics.

Qualifications:

• BS in Display, Systems Engineering, Imaging Science, Electronics, Optics, Physics, or a similar field
• 5 years of experience as a Technical Program/Project Manager.
• Proven experience in driving programs in a research environment, managing external technical engagements, and applying systems architecture in technical domains.
• Knowledge of display and/or optics development, including manufacturing processes.
• Organizational skills, including experience managing cross-team budgets and headcount.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, with potential for international travel.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with mass production partners on displays and running programs from invention through scale-up.
• Masters or PhD in a technical field.
• Ideal technologies include optics and display, such as computer or TV and projectors, movie theatres or similar subsystems, and laser form defense.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with cross-functional and external teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and risks/issues.
• Coordinate communication between internal and external teams and partners.
• Report program status, issues, challenges and help needed with all stakeholders.
• Build teams, develop processes, establish best practices, and support tools to support a growing organization.
• Show flexibility across time zones to take calls.

Additional Information:

• The TPM will partner with one specific research team on one set of technology to run one specific program.
• The TPM will be responsible for reporting, budget ownership, SOW contract external vendor ownership in Asia, and partnership with researchers, providing an independent voice.
