NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BAR EXAMINERS is Hiring a Customer Service - Candidate Advisor Near Madison, WI

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality assessment products, services, and research for the benefit and protection of the public and the legal profession. We assist state courts and licensing authorities with fulfilling their responsibility to determine minimal competence for entry to the legal profession.

The Candidate Advisor is the first point of contact for candidates seeking NCBE's services throughout the bar admissions process. The advisor's main role is to assist candidates with their inquiries and requests related to NCBE's various services.

We have multiple openings for this role!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward candidates; ensures candidate satisfaction.
  • Communicates with candidates through various channels and responds promptly to candidate inquiries and requests per NCBE guidelines, policies, and procedures; escalates complex issues as necessary.
  • Acknowledges and resolves candidate complaints; escalates complaints as necessary.
  • Maintains knowledge of NCBE's various products and services as well as service-related policies and procedures.
  • Keeps timely records of candidate interactions.
  • Communicates and coordinates with colleagues as necessary.
  • Provides feedback on the efficiency of the candidate service process.
  • Rotates with other service advisors to complete front desk duties including greeting guests, answering NCBE's main telephone line, sorting mail, and serving as a member of the organization's emergency response team.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred; will consider candidate-facing (customer/client) experience in lieu of degree requirements.
  • 2 to 3 years of candidate service experience required.
  • Ability to resolve candidate complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms/software preferred.

The Advisor may be eligible for one day/week remote work after successful completion of a training period.
