Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Illness Recovery

Hours: Full Time, Night Shift

Pay: $43.11 - $58.00 per hour (based on years of experience) plus shift differential for weekend shifts

At Rush Specialty Hospital you are caring for the most vulnerable patients in your community. Here, you will care for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. • Receiving admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Minimum requirements:

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:

• Clinical experience.

This April, Select Medical and Rush University System for Health celebrated the new RUSH Specialty Hospital opening on Chicago's West Side. The 100-bed facility combines both critical illness recovery and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals on the RUSH University Medical Center campus. The hospital features 44 critical illness recovery and 56 inpatient rehabilitation beds.
