The Dining Room Captain (Server) will provide high-quality service that will help maintain and attract customers. The DR Captain will have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with all other staff. Main responsibilities will be providing great service to our external guests.

Position Expectations:

• Exceptional communication skills; engaging with internal and external guests
• Working on a ‘Toast Goes’ handheld to take and input orders
• Knowledge of the menu and an ability to make recommendations and upsell
• Ensure guests are enjoying the service and the ability to take action to correct any problems as needed
• Collect and process payments
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Work through complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Proper attention to cleanliness and safety
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills:

• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all co-workers
• Able to perform high-quality work
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system (Toast)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Servers must have prior experience
• Servers must be 18
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to go up and down stairs
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
• Great communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
