Leads the Equipment Maintenance Department and personnel for tube Manufacturing facility with 24/7 operations. Directs the repair, preventive maintenance, modification, and installation of manufacturing equipment. Ensures equipment is operating at peak efficiency to facilitate maximum productivity. Initiates and executes projects to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency, of manufacturing and support equipment.

Pay range- $85,000 - $95,000/yr

• Direct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events to maximize manufacturing productivity and equipment utilization. Own Maintenance repair log and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Develop and maintain the Preventive Maintenance program for equipment.
• Lead Maintenance Team meetings. Own and review project log, provide guidance on prioritization and support completion of projects within defined timelines.
• Develop and maintain schematics, documentation, and spare parts inventory in support of plant equipment maintenance.
• Actively participate in improving facility safety through direct involvement in injury investigations and action item follow up.
• In line with the corporate plan, assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing qualified department personnel, set performance expectations and evaluate performance.
• Train and lead department personnel to ensure staff is trained to perform their assigned tasks while adhering to good manufacturing practices and safety policies.
• Communicate and document observations and recommendations regarding processes and equipment to stakeholders.
• Apply and document company disciplinary policy as required.
• Communicate concerns for manpower, machines, quality, and engineering to management.
• Investigate and report injuries to Human Resource Department.
• Report and verify department personnels work hours for job costing and payroll purposes.
• Documents and reports on equipment performance.
• Must be willing to work mandatory hours or days scheduled per business needs.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience as Maintenance Technician in Manufacturing or related field
• 3 years previous Supervisory experience
• AA/AS Diploma, Trade School or Equivalent applicable experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have a good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of safety policies
• Able to lead and communicate effectively
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility

Work environment:

• Work performed in both a manufacturing and office environment
• Exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes and other hazardous materials

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses and safety shoes are required
• Other personal safety equipment required as listed in SDS depending on task may include safety goggles, ear protection, full - face shield, apron, arm guards, rubber boots and gloves.
