The Opportunity: Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In all of this "cyber noise," how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you-an information security risk specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. As an information security risk specialist on our team, you'll use your experience to work with Navy programs to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You'll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from engineers and subject matter experts to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You'll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical networks and systems. You Have: * 7 years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer * 5 years of experience as a cybersecurity project team lead * Experience with budget- and cost-related matters for DoD technical programs, including management of spend plans and execution * Experience with Atlassian and project management tools * Experience with achieving system certification, accreditation, assessment and authorization, including IATTs and ATOs * Experience with evaluating assessment documentation, and developing written security risks, mitigations, and recommendations * Knowledge of all stages of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, associated artifacts, and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS) * Ability to communicate security-focused technical concerns and administrative policy concerns to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leading Technical Exchange Meetings and Integrated Product Team meetings with senior level organizations * Secret clearance * Ability to obtain CompTIA Security Certification to meet DoD 8140 compliance within 60 days of start date Nice If You Have: * Experience with DOD or Navy cybersecurity and acquisition processes, including experience with Programs of Record * Experience using cyber hardening, vulnerability management, SCAP, STIGs, and scanning tools * Experience with technical writing, acquisition documentation, cybersecurity requirements and contract language * Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, ports and protocols, web proxies, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools * Experience with operating systems, platforms, and technologies, including Windows, Linux, cloud, or virtualization * Knowledge of Navy networks * Ability to brief senior leadership on complex cybersecurity issues * Top Secret clearance * Bachelor's degree * CISSP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
