The Retail Leasing Associate will:Positive attitude and willingness to cold call and knock on doors of prospective prospectsIdentify and canvass prospective tenants in a variety of trade area through cold calling, target mailings, social media and emailWill regularly visit other malls in the Tampa market to prospect for tenantsManage incoming leasing inquiries; gather information, quote rents, set up showings, etc.Negotiate skillfully and work deals from inception to tenant opening and beyondPrepare LOIs, develop scope of work for opening, and understand key deal conceptsMaintain competitive market surveys and assist in developing leasing strategiesWork on lease renewals, assignments, and modificationsTrack deals closely, schedule follow-ups regularlyProvide leasing summaries and prepare leasing status reportsDevelop relationships with tenants and brokersPrepare leasing assumptions for property budgetsTroubleshoot problems and resolve issuesRespond timely to all inquiries, proposals, requests, etc.Interface with marketing, legal, property management, construction, and other leasing personnelAttend trade shows nationally to showcase properties, meet with tenants and brokers, and develop new leadsWill work out of mall office at RITHM(University Mall)Will look for uses that create visits from students and professionals in the area
The ideal candidate will have:A bachelors degree in real estate, business, finance, economics, or another related fieldCommercial real estate or outside sales experienceWill become an expert in Tampa area retailExcellent oral and written communication skillsSolid computer literacy, able to use basic programs and company softwareStrong organizational skills
