While a lot of functions are responsible for responding to moments in the here and now, this team is always looking towards the future. From finessing the production of our silhouettes to developing new materials, our production gurus work hand-in-hand with our factory team to make sure the wheels of Rothys keep turning on our quest for a more sustainable future.Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Director of Production will lead key strategic initiatives to deliver high quality products on time. This role oversees the production process and operations, capacity planning with our factory, materials management, achieving GM targets, the go-to-market calendar, and our PLM system. The Director will lead the Production team and work closely with cross-functional counterparts locally as well as at the Factory in China. A successful candidate will grow the capabilities of our current processes, systems, and calendars to meet the needs of continuous operational improvement for Rothys partners in San Francisco, China and future OEMs.What youll do:Production Planning and Execution:Responsible for on-time delivery and quality of all production orders for Footwear and AccessoriesResponsible for ensuring forecasts are delivered on time for annual/monthly capacity planning and adjust plans as neededLead capacity planning activities in collaboration with the factoryManaging all POs for on time delivery and achieving MOT goalsManage the chase process, calendars and orders (flexing on planning to meet business demands)Implement and enforce quality control standards to meet company standardsIdentify and mitigate potential risks in the production processDevelop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the supply chainResponsible for material management including strategies minimize excess materialsCollaborate with product development teams for seamless introduction of new productsEnsure that production processes are scalable to accommodate new product linesGo-to-Market (GTM) Calendars:Develop, maintain and drive adherence to GTM calendar for Product Design, CAD, PD, Merchandising, Merch Planning and Production teams. Focus on continuous improvement and driving efficienciesServe as the linchpin that binds our teams collaborative efforts togetherDevelop and maintain Chase calendars for HQ teamsDrive cross-functional milestones meetings, project schedules, workflows, and project status reportingFocus on continuous improvement and efficiency in processesProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) Platform:Define user requirements for the PLM platform and ensure adherence to process and due datesTranslate user requirements into functional specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Work towards continuous improvement to ensure we are using the full capacityExplore opportunities to integrate technology for improved efficiency and qualityCross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with Product Design, CAD, PD, Merchandising, Merch Planning Teams to ensure all deliverables are met to deliver product on timeUnderstand cross functional business needs and deliverables to keep all teams informed of deliverings and/or changesAttend leadership meetingsOperations Processes:Oversee operations processes supporting Footwear production and Accessories product developmentManage purchase orders, product master data, annual budgeting, and production materialsTeam Leadership:Lead the Production team through proactive and consistent communicationProvide feedback to drive accountability, effectiveness, and development of direct reportsYou are:Able to present and skillfully negotiate to gain the support and commitment of othersAble to demonstrate enthusiasm and inspire as a change agent with a passion for resultsAble to influence decision making up, down, and across the organizationExcited to manage data sets, to synthesize insights, recommend actions, and develop presentations to facilitate communication with stakeholdersComfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with limited directionA leader by example, coaching team members by sharing knowledge and experiences and acting as a role modelAble to effectively balance priorities and manage multiple time-sensitive projects at onceYou have:Advanced understanding of PLM/ERP system functionalityCertification in PMP is preferred; or equivalent work experienceExperience making meaningful contributions to strategic and operational decisionsA commitment to identifying department patterns/trends and building optimal department policies and processesExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skillsStrong capacity for Change Management to support transformational activitiesConfidence reporting to the Executive team, Product Development leadership and other stakeholders on the progress of ongoing programs and operational KPIsOur benefits:Generous paid time off401k matchingComprehensive health plans for you and your familySupplemental mental health benefitsMonthly wellness reimbursementEmployee Discount Program!Pay range:$196,000 - $231,000 annuallyBase pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
