Restaurants around the world, both large and small, including Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry's, KFC, and Eataly trust our software to power their delivery business. We increase sales, reduce order issues, and decrease delivery headaches.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Otter, you'll be an integral part of our data-driven development team, contributing to the evolution of cutting-edge internal tools. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

• Data-Driven Development: Contribute to a data-centric development team.
• Project Planning: Engage in strategic planning for various internal tools.
• Agile Methodologies: Implement and test software using agile methodologies.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a collaborative team to enhance and support technology.
• Code Contribution: Write, debug, maintain, and test code for diverse projects.
• Architectural Design: Design scalable systems with a focus on architecture.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Innovation: Drive innovation within the team and support Otter's technological advancements.
• Full Stack Development: Develop and maintain front-end components of our software, including web-based and mobile interfaces.

What we're looking for

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Software, Computer Systems or Networks Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 5-8 years of domain experience in the specified role.
• Individual Contribution: A track record of significant contributions in previous roles, showcasing your ability to make a meaningful impact.
• Strong ability to design and create long-lasting architecture from scratch and evolve existing systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

This role is based in our Seattle office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we're in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you're constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we're better as a team in person.
