Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements.
- Monitor, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for one or many entities.
- Track, balance and adjust as necessary intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
- Prepare and gather support for annual financial statement audit.
- Analyze total expenses, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.
- Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases, expenses, or revenue.
- Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
- Prepares payment requests by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
- Maintain financial system, configuration and changes.
Additional Job Description:
Education/Training Requirements:
- Minimally an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance. Bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Hospital Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of software programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Preferred Workday experience.
