The Industrial Engineering Intern is part of the project team and responsible for supporting the operation of the Process Planning department, optimize processes and material flows, look for cost saving and cycle time reduction opportunities.
Principal Tasks:
Support defining material flow and work cell layout, creating the necessary documentation in flow-charts and layouts (Visio)
Evaluation of workload, defining cycle times, line balancing and conducting time studies
Support defining equipment and create technical specification under consideration of internal and external requirements
Create, modify and maintain production layout according to specifications and requirements
Support internal equipment manufacturing
Weekly Status Reporting of Projects
Regular participation in meetings and workshops
File the technical specifications, quotation, purchase orders, and other documents related to the manufacturing of the equipment
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Good written and verbal technical communication with both internal and external parties

Qualifications Work experience requirements: Not Required Education Requirements:
1 Year Engineering classes, must be currently enrolled in an engineering discipline.
