Buyer/ Receiving Assistant

Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00, Business casual or navy blue scrubs, closed toe shoes

Buyer: Being responsible for purchasing A-L for the facility. 

• Search via Cerner program for open requisitions several times daily
• Complete purchase orders by calling and emailing companies to confirm approval
• Track and communicate issues with the order to necessary hospital staff
• Maintain records of back orders and approvals and revisit as needed
• Necessary to have strong verbal phone skills, detail-oriented ability to maintain records that change weekly, computer skills, and strong language skills, both verbal and written

Receiving: Verifying packing list matches product received.

• Break down arrivals, check order slips and verify product received
• Communicate via email and phone with companies concerning issues
• Deliver product to departments
• Stock product, including occasionally lifting 50 pounds
• Take out boxes and trash

Central Supply Tech: Receiving orders (Cerner) from departments that need to be filled from stock in Central Supply. 

• Pull picklist items from departments for pickup or deliver to departments and stock as needed
• Take out boxes and trash

Linens: Collecting soiled linens, unpacking and organizing, also restocking departments.

• Collect soiled linens for pickup Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• Stock shelves from clean deliveries
• Deliver clean linens to departments
• Communicate with linen provider
• Necessary to have patience and a mindfulness of inventory and inventory needs

Shipping: Getting packages ready to be picked up.

• Pack materials for returns, track and monitor progress of returns
