Job Details:Manage complex appellate and commercial litigation cases with significant impact on financial services clients.Independently prepare appellate briefs, motions, pleadings, responses, and other legal documents.Litigate cases before New York trial and appellate courts.Research, draft, and analyze federal, state, and local regulations or laws.Develop legal strategies and provide internal and client strategy recommendations.Manage appellate deadlines and prepare for escalated court appearances, including hearings and appellate arguments.Offer a flexible hybrid in-office schedule; a full-time virtual schedule is considered for the proper candidate.Utilize appellate experience at the state level and familiarity with appellate rules.Demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.Possess sophisticated knowledge of the rules of civil procedure.Work collaboratively with other team members.Exhibit a strong work ethic and a clear interest in appellate and motion practice.Experience managing deadlines and caseloads. Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree.J.D. from an accredited law school.Membership in the New York Bar.3 years of litigation experience. Skills:Appellate experience at the state level.Familiarity with appellate rules.Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.Sophisticated knowledge of the rules of civil procedure.Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.Strong work ethic.Clear interest in appellate and motion practice.Experience managing deadlines and caseloads.
