Ro is Hiring a Director, Clinical Product Strategy Near New York, NY

Who We Are
Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company with a mission of helping as many patients as possible achieve their health goals. Ro is the only company to offer telehealth care, at-home diagnostic testing, labs, and pharmacy services nationwide. This is enabled by Ro's vertically integrated platform that helps patients achieve their goals through a convenient end-to-end healthcare experience spanning from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has helped millions of patients in nearly every single county in the United States, including 98% of primary care deserts.
Ro was recognized as a CNBC Disruptor 50 in 2022, listed by Inc. Magazine as a Best Place to Work in 2022 for our third consecutive year, and named one of FORTUNE's 2022 Best Medium Workplaces.
The Director of Clinical Product Strategy will report to our Senior Director of Clinical Product Strategy and work closely with the Product, Product Design, Provider & Clinician Network (including Nursing and Pharmacy), Quality & Safety, MedOps, and Data teams to ensure that Ro designs and implements a clinical workflow and an electronic medical record system that enables providers to provide high quality, effective and efficient care to patients. At Ro, you will be integral to helping to design and build technology that helps individuals become a healthier version of themselves, turns physicians into better healthcare professionals, and power our increasingly complex medical network.
Who are you? You are a clinician and an informaticist. You are an innovator at heart. You're passionate about delivering safe, high-quality healthcare and harnessing technology to do so. You have incredible attention to detail and can communicate clearly and creatively as you work cross-functionally. You are a self-starter, a problem solver, and process-driven. You're not afraid of thinking outside of the box. You have experience being a healthcare provider, experience with EHR systems, experience with healthcare technology, experience with data engineering - building and maintaining the integrity of healthcare/EHR data - and are looking for a new way to help patients outside of the traditional healthcare setting. You're great at translating your clinical and systems experience into a high-quality digital experience. You have experience managing others, and people thrive under your leadership. You are empathetic and enjoy design thinking and problem-solving. You are great at communicating and collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
Above all, you will be a core member of the tech-org (Product, Product Design, Engineering) cross functional team serving as a clinical subject matter expert, clinical workflow expert, clinical informatics expert, and clinical data developer as we work to improve and provide human-centered solutions to the design of our electronic health record and pharmacy fulfillment software.
What You'll Do:
    • Conceptualize the ideal experience from the point of view of the provider and the provider-patient relationship and problem-solve on ways to reach this ideal state
    • Serve as the clinical lead and partner to the tech-org to translate in-person workflow to digital health workflow and optimize our homegrown care delivery platforms (Care Center and Pharmacy platforms) for care delivery and for our ability to track, audit, and improve the care we provide
    • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding clinical documentation, and work closely with the legal team to understand legal and regulatory guidance
    • Document clinical and informatics requirements and best practices for project and topic areas - and work with a broad clinical team on alignment with these requirements
    • Work with members of the larger clinical team and be accountable for soliciting input/feedback, alignment, and communication
    • Work very closely with the product and technology teams during the build-out of functionality, providing input and making sure the functionality meets clinical requirements
    • Act as a data engineer/developer for projects that may require clinical data or informatics expertise - such as creation of clinical data sets, mapping to standard concepts, creation of files within a relational database
    • Serve as a liaison between Practice Leadership, Pharmacists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses who use the platforms and the tech org that builds and maintains them
What You'll Bring to the Team:
    • MD, DO or DNP degree or equivalent
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with 8 years of work experience, 3 years in Clinical Informatics/Innovation, 2 years of direct people management, and 3 years in direct patient care, telehealth experience is a plus
