The Team: This role is a part of the Inspection/Solderer team here on the production floor. The Role: The Selective Solder operates the Selective Solder Machine. The Selective Solder Operator needs to be certified as an Inspector/Solderer. An Inspector/Solderer verifies circuit boards, solder joints, correct component placement and identifies any other possible defects that affects form, fit or function of an electronic assembly. An Inspector/Solderer also solders components onto the circuit boards following the manufacturing instructions. A Selective Solder Operator spends time on their feet for the majority of the day operating the machine while inspecting and soldering circuit boards. Responsibilities & Qualifications You will spend your time:
Perform machine operations
Inspecting boards to ensure the various parts were placed securely and correctly
Soldering various parts on circuit boards
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintain clean and orderly workstations and equipment
Follow prescribed safety regulations
Complete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
Perform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic tools
May rotate to various workstations as required
Other duties as assigned
