Mental Health Clinician – Adult Drug Treatment Services (Hybrid-Remote)

The Position: We’re actively looking for an LMHP or LMHP-R to work with adults who have been referred and inducted into adult drug treatment courts. This is a hybrid role of telehealth and on-site scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• 37.5 hours per week (hybrid-remote)
• Monday-Friday 8:30 to 5 PM, may have to work one or two early evenings per week.
• Provide ASAM assessments, individual, group and family counseling using evidence-based models.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and representatives in the community

Requirements:

• Must have completed a 60-credit Master’s Degree (with 600 completed intern hours) in relevant Human Service field (Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Etc.)
• Licensure in the state of Virginia as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSATP or LMHP-R.
• If LMHP-R, must be eligible to register as LMHP-E within three months of hire.
• One year of program-specific work experience or relevant education.
• Ability to participate in and successfully pass behavioral intervention training; includes both verbal de-escalation skills and physical skills techniques to be utilized when needed
• No Virginia Barrier Crimes on Record. See the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) for list of VA Barrier Crimes.
• Drivers License
• Willingness to travel to any worksite within Lynchburg area, transport clients, provide services to clients at other locations.
• Knowledge of mental health treatment modalities.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatments.
• Knowledge of evidenced-based CBT-informed mental health services and referrals for veterans and their families
