River Bar is Hiring a Bartender Near Somerville, MA

Description
The Bartender gives the bar its personality and is often the first contact a guest has with a member of the service staff and can therefor set the tone for the whole experience. Bartenders should lead by example, stand out from the crowd and be responsible for assisting with inventory, daily maintenance of the bar and the production and service of all food, wine, beer, spirits and cocktails.

Key Tasks:
  • Create an maintain bar par levels for all bar products throughout service
  • Complete all duties relevant or explicit to opening and closing the bar as well as providing excellent service and guest relations
  • Interact with guests in a professional, friendly and efficient manner in order to promote, establish and maintain a regular cliental
  • Provide all guest services in a timely manner as well as service bar
  • Assist in all creative aspects of the beverage program
  • Knowledge of all menus including food, wine, cocktails, beer, etc
  • Have excellent allergy awareness and knowledge of all possible interactions
  • Be responsible for all monetary transactions behind the bar
  • Maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor and personal grooming standards
  • Attend all scheduled food, beverage, hospitality and service training sessions
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties as assigned
  • Ensure the service stations are well stocked with all mis-en-place
  • Complete all daily side work
  • Extensive knowledge of the POS system and place orders correctly
  • Comply with and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Understand and comply with all state and local alcohol laws including checking all guest identification
