Rising Tide Interactive is Hiring an Associate Director of Client Strategy Near Washington, DC

The Associate Director of Client Strategy helps lead the client strategy department that develops and executes comprehensive digital strategies that achieve client goals. With experience and a strong command of digital strategy and best practices, the Associate Director of Client Strategy helps manage the strategy team's implementation of successful digital campaigns. In addition to overseeing the implementation of client strategy, the Associate Director of Client Strategy serves as a key liaison between the clients, the strategy team, and Partners/VPs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day workflow of the client strategy department's clients, working with a diverse array of political, advocacy, and nonprofit clients.
  • Coach team members across the department to improve their process-orientation, strategic insights, and business development skills.
  • Help with the implementation of process and improvement of department protocols and policies.
  • Identifies opportunities for departmental growth and advocates for resources as appropriate.
  • Work to ensure that our offering across verticals is innovative and sufficient to exceed client expectations.
  • Assist Associates and Account Managers with a variety of tasks as needed for delivering client satisfaction.
  • Manage direct reports.
  • Effectively lead multiple client teams, ensuring that the digital strategy is aligned with client goals.
  • Effectively executes towards client paid media, voter communication, and fundraising goals.
  • On accounts where working directly on client strategy, accountable for key performance metrics and client satisfaction.
  • Provides hands-on support and troubleshooting for clients and hands-on management to strategy team to accomplish client goals.
  • Draft direct response and persuasion ad copy and scripts and work with the creative team on developing creative concepts.
  • Lead high-level client projects, including creating projections, managing CRM migrations, and project managing large persuasion plans
  • Produce proposals and pitch new business
  • Weighs in on company discussions as a member of senior staff
  • Work cross departmentally to ensure collaboration and processes are up-to-speed
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • Expert knowledge of digital strategy, paid media/voter communication, and fundraising best practices
  • Strong understanding of how to recognize a great hook moment, how to build digital campaigns that move people to act, and what actions will achieve the right impact at the right time
  • Ability to analyze digital campaign performance across objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects when assigned.
  • Must have superior project and time management capabilities within a fast paced, high productivity environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and effectively communicate and solve practical problems or issues
  • Able to work and communicate within a team structure while able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Must be highly motivated, action oriented, and client focused
Required Experience
  • Experience running a digital program and managing staff
  • At least three to four years of high-level digital work experience with an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, consulting agency, or non-profit, including in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital programs for issue/advocacy/campaign organization, and a record of strategic thinking to create new ways to organize and communicate on digital platforms
  • Basic technical skills, including familiarity with HTML
  • Experience with ad platforms such as Meta and Google Ads
  • Experience with online CRM platforms
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and reporting
  • Competency with Mac and PC computers including troubleshooting
  • Experience participating in business development is preferred
Relevant details:
  • Salary band: $90,000 - $100,000

  • This is a full-time, exempt position and evening and weekend work can be expected at key points during the election cycle. This position is not included in our bargaining unit.
  • This position is based in our office in Washington, DC. This position will work a hybrid schedule, with two days a week in the office and three days remotely. All RTI employees are expected to be up-to-date on all COVID vaccinations and boosters.
