Overview

Rapid Rehousing for Young Adults is a solution to homelessness designed to help young adults aged 18-24 quickly exit homelessness to permanent housing. The program provides rental assistance and support services that are tailored to the unique needs of the young person.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Rapid Rehousing Program Director, this individual will be responsible for mental health assessments, screenings and assisting youth with accessing mental health services and resources. Responsible for providing counseling to a small caseload of program participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and support to youth between the ages of 18-24
  • Provide clinical counseling for those youth that display a need for more intense counseling or are assessed to have possible mental health needs.
  • Complete any paperwork for youth in a timely fashion including but not limited to case notes, Bio Psycho Socials/assessments, TAY-VI SPDAT and referral material.
  • Work with homeless/street homeless youth to prepare for options for housing outside of RRH as needed such as supportive housing if deemed appropriate.
  • Act as a liaison with any existing service providers involved with the youth.
  • Refer youth to outside services at other agencies as needed.
  • Facilitate workshops/groups.
  • Submit timely reports to supervisor as requested.
  • Conduct outreach and presentations as needed and as assigned.
  • All other relevant duties as delegated by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • MSW degree required, LMSW preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in the human services field.
  • Must have experience providing clinical services to youth and young adults.
  • Knowledge and understanding of At-Risk Youth population required.

Salary: $60,000
