We have an opportunity for a 2024 Summer Internship as a Supply Chain Buyer /Planner at our Tektronics/Keithley Instruments office in Solon, Ohio. This intern will train, develop, and manage in the areas of Buying/Planning, including activities associated with inventory, planning, purchasing, and Kanban solutions. This position will be provided a meaningful project to drive improvement in key business metrics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment that is fast-paced, high-energy and expertly exciting!
Responsibilities:

• Buy/Plan parts in line with manufacturing requirements, for specific commodities, product lines or vendors
• Place orders in our ERP system, Oracle and Oracle Fusion
• Maintain part data, to include vendor leadtimes etc.
• Manage delivery of purchased parts, including expediting from vendors as the need arises
• Attend daily Constraints meetings and QDIP Gemba walks on the shop floor
• Lead an improvement project around improving a key metric in the business.
• We will enable and encourage this intern to build and maintain key relationships with the supply chain team and internal customers that all focus on the success of our customer

Qualifications:

• Actively working towards a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study
• Excellent written and verbal communication and confidence in ability to build and give presentations to both large and small groups
• You are have a curiosity about organizational change and continuous improvement
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
• Good analytical skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel including spreadsheets and formulas to work with large data sets and pivot tables,
• Resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications,
• Ability to influence other partners through sound logic and business savvy.
