Riley Construction is looking for a marketing specialist who wants to help build great things - including their career. If you love construction, exceptional customer service, and smart marketing, you'll find your people at Riley.

You will enjoy a positive, collaborative culture and the usual benefits plus flex time and a compressed work week. You can start your weekend at noon on Friday. You also can work remotely one day per week.

Your role will include a range of experiences to allow you to showcase your talent and grow your skills. The Marketing Specialist supports Riley's marketing strategy and internal communications. You will be responsible for writing, editing, designing, and producing assets that support the organization's goals. You're not alone. The role is part of a creative and collaborative Marketing team where we lean into each person's talents and passions.

You will work in our headquarters in Kenosha. From time to time, you will also have opportunities to visit project job sites to capture photos and stories of our people and our craft.

Here's an overview of what you get to do:

  • Write and edit compelling copy and design engaging graphics that align with Riley's brand standards for business development, events, PR, social media, internal communications, etc.
  • Develop, design, and produce proposals and other sales materials.
  • Nurture the Riley culture with engaging communications and lead the creation of slides for internal meetings.
  • Create and implement the social media strategy and represent the Riley brand while engaging online audiences. Monitors metrics and drives improvements.
  • Work closely with the director of marketing to plan, develop, and implement content marketing strategies and channels, including social media, web, email, events, and print.
  • Coordinate editorial calendar and create content. Collaborate with executives, engineers, and others to secure information. Then write content and design the piece tailored for the target audience. For some content, you'll partner with a vendor who writes the content.
  • Ensure digital pieces, award applications, and other collateral support the firm's strategic goals, and brand identity, considering intended use, audience, and campaign goals.
  • Take photos of projects, events, and employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in marketing professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and design clear and compelling pieces, with attention to detail.
  • Strong skills using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and a good eye for visualization, and layout.
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint and Word. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Experience using current best practices in content marketing and social media.
  • Ability to prioritize job responsibilities, work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, resourceful, and positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize job responsibilities, work with autonomy, move multiple projects forward simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Experience proactively and professionally engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Professional experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Experience creating and facilitating B2B content on social media
  • Experience producing proposals, statements of qualifications, and presentations.
  • Experience creating and executing content plans.
  • Superior work ethic that adapts to a flexible and responsive environment.
  • Highly collaborative spirit that thrives as part of a creative and dedicated team.
  • Photography skills.
