J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking an individual experienced in drafting detailed drawings and specifications used in the manufacturing and fabrication of truck bodies, trailers, related equipment, and fabricated metal products. This individual should be experienced in 3D modeling and design in Inventor and AutoCAD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Has demonstrated competency in the duties and responsibilities of a Jr. Drafter/Designer.
• Create drawings from sketches, actual parts, or instructions.
• Modify existing designs to meet specific work order requirements.
• Provide bills of materials to support the material and required labor for producing said parts.
• Process work orders from sales, including creating work order bills of materials, purchasing requisitions, required drawings, sourcing vendor-supplied instructions, and producing work order packages for production. Print and reproduce drawings for production.
• Create proposal drawings for visual assistance between sales and customers.
• Create computer programs for numerous computer-driven production tools.
• Observe and comply with all the provisions of the ISO 90001 QMS.
• Observe and comply with all safety rules, always including the use of PPE

Education and Experience

• Associate degree (A. S.) from a two-year college or university or high school or post-secondary diploma in a related technical field and two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
