The Mental Health Technician (MHT) Team Leader :

• Leads the planning and implementation of activity services for assigned programs.
• Collaborates as part of the treatment team to define and implement patient treatment goals.
• Provides continuous care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Leader.
• Plays a critical role in training and mentoring Mental Health Technicians .

Qualifications
Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
Mental Health Tech (MHT) Team Leader Requirements
Education:

• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Recreational Therapy, or a related field.

Experience:

• Two years of experience in:
  • Healthcare setting
  • Psychiatric technician role
  • Residential treatment/group home work
• Nursing students with completed basic nursing fundamentals may also qualify.

Licensure:

• Valid driver's license in the state of Georgia.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have completed Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and CPR/First Aid certification at the time of application.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Skills and Abilities:

• Essential:
  • Basic patient care skills
  • Clerical/administrative duties
  • Effective communication with colleagues, patients, and families
  • Patient-centered approach
  • Ability to perform some lifting and moving
  • Proficiency in using assigned equipment and supplies
• May be required:
  • De-escalation techniques for handling aggressive patients using CPI methods

Compensation:
This is a Full Time / Part Time , non-exempt role and the expected compensation range is between $16.00 and $18.00/hour . We're eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our MHT LEAD!
