San Antonio Winery, located in the historic downtown of Los Angeles, is currently seeking to hire servers to support our Maddalena Restaurant and 1917 Bistro. We were awarded the title of Winery of the Year in 2018 by Wine Enthusiast, and we are looking for a talented individual with upscale casual service experience, a professional appearance, a good demeanor, and a strong work ethic. The position is part-time and hourly-based, with tips.
We are looking for inspired and experienced servers to join our talented service team. This position requires experience in high-volume food and beverage operations. Candidates should have food service experience and passion for food, beverage, and hospitality. This position plays a significant role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. Your ultimate goal should be to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional hospitality from guest arrival to departure
- Provide food and beverage suggestions based on their preferences and up-sell when appropriate
- Take and run food orders and pre-bus tables
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with all serving and kitchen staff. Be a team player!
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- Touch tables
- Take beverage orders
- Pre-bus tables down to drinkware
- Present check
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of server experience
- Currently holds a valid California Food Handler Card.
- If not, must obtain a valid California Food Handler Card before the start date
- 1 year of experience of POS systems
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Professional attitude
- Great communication skills, good interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Team-working skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask with great time-management skills and be able to handle customer complaints.
- Knowledgeable and able to help customers
- Food safety training is a plus
