**About the job: Associate General Manager**

Service Kings DoD SkillBridge Associate General Manager Program offers a comprehensive leadership assignment within the automotive space to transitioning service members, enhancing their understanding of the collision repair industry through valuable, hands-on experience with an organization operating 335 locations in 24 states. This program is designed to develop skills in order to prepare participants to take on leadership roles in a fast paced, team-centric, and operations-focused environment. The program will run from three to six months depending on the participants availability.

The SkillBridge Associate General Manager program allows candidates to broaden operational leadership experience, organizational knowledge, and business acumen. We are looking for driven leaders who are motivated to learn and create a positive culture while driving performance. Candidates should be prepared to lead by example while taking on new challenges in a dynamic environment.

**What You Will Do** During the program, SkillBridge Associate General Manager participants will gain an in-depth understanding of Service Kings processes, operational and financial expectations, and culture. SkillBridge participants will be coached on the best practices that enable General Managers to be successful leaders and taught how to increase locations efficiency and effectiveness related to driving operational and financial performance. Detailed responsibilities of the SkillBridge Associate General Manager are noted below.

**Training:** Receive real world and hands-on training from our Leadership Team to learn and develop skills necessary to become an Associate General Manager in the collision repair industry. The areas of focus in such internship are as follows:

* **Understand Service Kings processes and roles:** Understand the front and back of shop from vehicle intake through delivery, ensure production quality and efficiency, such that the location meets or surpasses KPIs

* **Labor assignment and production management:** Responsible for assisting General Manager with assigning repair jobs to Body Technicians and prioritizing vehicles for teardown or paint

* **Teammate support:** Support teammates during peak times by receiving customers, checking-in vehicles and writing estimates as needed

* **Assist in attaining production goals and standards:** Ensure all repairs are in line with Service King and I-Car quality standards, all repairs are billed accurately and correctly, and back of shop PPE protocol is upheld for teammate safety

* **Assist in management of shop payroll and staffing:** Ensure production staff adheres to punch- in/out guidelines and flag-hour procedures for weekly payroll processing; Manage staff PTO, vacation and leave

* **Team acquisition, coaching and development:** Responsible for understanding all teammate position requirements, interviewing and hiring the best candidates for roles based on skills and experience, and providing individual teammate performance coaching, feedback and support for growth/progression opportunities

* **Learn estimatics:** Be coached and trained to gain the skilled needed to completed a basic estimate

* **Additional responsibilities as assigned**

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Experience in operations leadership role

* Ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently

* Ability to perform under pressure and mange time effectively

* Analytical mindset

* Ability to work with shifting deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment

* Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Proven record of complying with safety requirements

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Bilingual (Spanish)

* Knowledge of collision industry including high-level knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements for a variety of carriers
