Position Summary:
Assist in developing a store atmosphere focused on creating and exceeding the highest customer service, safety and cleanliness goals. Help assist the store manager in exceeding goals for gross profit, shrink and sales. Assist in managing store associates time and efforts to maximize the productivity of the entire store and to meet customer needs. Instill in others the daily goal of accomplishing the Renfroes mission statement.
Essential Functions:

• Assist the store manager to create an exceptional guest experience each and every time they come to the store.
• Assist the store manager to initiate merchandising, seasonal specific plans and the implementation of a specific strategy to grow store sales and customer counts.
• Assist the store manager in working with department managers to create a fresh, clean and inviting atmosphere for customers to shop.
• Manage the store on the off days and any extended period of time that the store manager is not present.
• Assist the store manager in discussing weekly sales, budgets, purchases, gross profits, shrink, wage cost and goals with department managers. Thus driving department managers to exceed said goals on a weekly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Assist the store manager in discussing weekly sales, budgets, purchases, gross profits, shrink, wage cost and goals for the entire store and driving the store to exceed said goals on a weekly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Assist the store manager in creating an atmosphere in which employees feel respected and included by management and other employees.
• Assist the store manager in effectively training employees so that they know their duties and can fulfill those duties and feel comfortable in their responsibilities as to increase the retention of employees and reduce the cost of employee turnover.
• Assist the store manager in providing timely feedback to department heads and all associates on individual and department performance.
• Assist the store manager in the monitoring of employee time sheets as to control the amount of labor cost on a daily and weekly basis.
• Ensure store compliance and associate knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws, and with enterprise policies.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
