Overall Requirements:

Our Quality Department is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician to enable the Operations team to deliver quality service to our customers and maintain our quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Performs materials and product inspections on various electronic systems/harsh environment assemblies 
• Responsible for the monitoring of incoming, inline and final QC 
• Effectively troubleshoots assembly and product quality problems 
• Accurately compiles and categorizes Quality failures / non-conformance 
• Gathers information and works with Operations team to complete First Article Inspections

• Align with the Engineering Department to provide quality input with respect to NPI initiatives 
• Responsible for coordinating calibration and ESD compliance 
• Makes recommendations to improve Environment and Quality System processes 
• Determining relevant quality associated training requirements and assist with training deliverables 
• Assist with provision of Quality metrics against defined parameters.

• Apply quality, environment and health and safety standards in ISO 9001: 2015, 14001 environments and assist with internal audits process. 

Experience & Skills:

• 5 years of experience as a quality control in a manufacturing organization 
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings utilizing GD&T 
• Experience using common handheld inspection instruments 
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment 

• High attention to detail 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven track record of working collaboratively internally and externally with our customers 
• Strong planning skills and ability to independently manage multiple work activities in order to meet established deadlines and priorities.
• Self-starter and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team 

Bonus if you have the following experience

• Internal ISO Auditor Qualification and/or Certification
• Experienced with IPC610/IPC 620 – Trainer accreditation is an asset 
• Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen Training considered is an asset
