Truck Shop Technician

Full Time

Summary The Field Service/Truck Shop Technician Level B is a mid-level service/truck shop technician and performs on-site service and repair of customer vehicle, both in the field and at a RTS facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Follows all policies and procedures
  • Must possess all abilities for Field Service/Truck Shop Technician level C
  • Electronic Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and separate transmission problems from vehicle problems
  • Vehicle system knowledge
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Automotive, truck, or heavy equipment experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Allison transmission maintenance/rebuild certifications desired
  • Allison factory maintenance trained desired but not required
  • Allison factory R & R trained on all 10K products desired but not required

Language Skills

  • Adequate reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Comprehension skills
