Position: Quality Manager
Position Type: Direct Hire
Role Overview:
As the Quality Manager, you will lead the charge in maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management Systems, ensuring that every product leaving the facilities meets the highest standards of quality.
Your role will be critical in identifying, tracking, and resolving discrepancies, while also championing a culture of quality throughout the organization. By working closely with production and engineering teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish best practices to uphold our reputation for excellence.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the COO, with designated responsibilities to the GM and CFO. Your dedication to fostering a positive work environment, open communication, and representing our company with integrity will be essential as we strive for continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Auditor Certification : Successfully complete Lead Auditor training and uphold compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, as well as internal and external quality standards for all facilities.
  2. Quality Management: Maintain and update quality manuals for each operating facility and oversee adherence to established procedures.
  3. Training and Oversight: Train Quality Technicians on procedures and periodically audit their work to ensure compliance.
  4. Quality Control: Oversee incoming receiving and in-process quality control tests, analyze data trends, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Root Cause Analysis : Investigate discrepancies, determine root causes, and collaborate with leadership to implement corrective measures.
  6. Documentation and Audits : Maintain accurate records, assist in preparing for quality audits, and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  7. Continuous Improvement : Proactively identify opportunities to enhance quality processes and systems.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with Production Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality and meet shipment deadlines.
  9. Supplier Quality : Audit raw material suppliers to ensure conformance to specifications and internal standards.
  10. Reporting : Provide weekly quality metrics to each facility, highlighting areas for improvement and maintaining a balanced scorecard.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Evolving Role: Adapt to changing business needs and evolving responsibilities to support company growth and success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing quality assurance and management.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
