LexisNexis Reed Tech is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to build a high performing technology Squad which includes software engineers and quality automation engineers and other key skills as identified for technology modernization. This role will provide leadership, management, direction, and vision to technology squads, tasked to drive innovation and adoption in our cloud deployment. Additional responsibilities may include budgeting, identifying and supporting talent, and defining resource requirements and allocations. This position will provide technical leadership and will also work with all levels of IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software in all environments. You'll work hard to ensure that LexisNexis Reed Tech products are delivered in a secure, repeatable and scalable process meeting the customers defined objectives. You will be entrusted with guiding ongoing development, contribute to roadmaps, adoption of new technologies, and evangelize strategic direction. A combination of strong communication skills and strategic thinking, combined with hands on ability to lead and execute is a must. What we would like to see from you: Working collaboratively with stakeholders to facilitate and positively influence solution development, acting as a point of contact for the diverse range of SMEs we have in the business. Own and maintain the delivery plan for a specific product/capability transformation via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled delivery team. Have a customer-first approach is important, encouraging the team to work collaboratively and develop solutions focused on the customers. Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making Lead the development of technical standards and perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed. Extensive Experience with .Net Platforms: .NET core, IIS, .NET, C#, and JavaScript , REST Apis, Database knowledge - No SQL, Oracle or SQL Server OR experience in other programming language(s) such as Java, Node.js, Scala, C#, terraform, Go, python and scripting languages. A degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving systems engineering (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience. Innovative and solutions-oriented in new technologies, security, and infrastructure Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
