One of Michigan’s premier power line and communication service providers is seeking a Revenue Analyst. We are a $100M company that performs a range of contracting and installation services for energy and communication providers.

Revenue and Project Analyst

Reporting and Key Job Responsibilities :

• Manage revenue recognition and billing processes including process improvement and commonization and managing and improving Costs in Excess of Billings (CIEB) metrics.
• Support Revenue and Billing Manager, Controller, and CFO in ensuring timing collection of receivables
• Develop and provide key operating and financial metrics to management and meaningful analytics to assist management in driving the business forward
• Support Revenue and Billing team on implementation of new ERP systems and merger of historical processes with new processes
• Utilize strong written and verbal communication. Apply basic knowledge on project managing an initiative from gathering requirements, following up with key resources, documenting project decisions and implementing the initiative.
• Under the direction of the Controller, support appropriate internal controls and other accounting policy compliance measures.
• Apply knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Financial Analyst:

• Collect and compile simple financial information and assist operational leaders, prepare timely financial reports on revenue/margin analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
• Assists in providing the appropriate supporting documentation to internal/external auditors for various audits throughout the year.
• Works cross-functionally with other departments, clients or vendors to ensure the accuracy of account activity along with timely written and verbal. communications to management and internal customers with the potential to include detailed account investigation, issue resolution with vendor, clients and cardholders, executing accurate vendor/client adjustments and understanding the financial implications.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Reports to: Revenue and Billing Manager

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment; 100% in office)

Direct Reports: None; however indirect leadership will be required

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Finance or Accounting, or other related field
• 3-5 years of business experience with demonstrated leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience in FP&A or Accounting with operational finance experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be a motivated self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct report coordination or supervision
• CIEB process experience
• Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Power BI
• Experience in multi-site, multi-division environment
• Experience with ERP implementation or modifications
