SummaryThe Installation/Service Technician is responsible for the installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. In this role you will ensure that equipment is installed properly and will provide training to customers on the proper operation of the equipment. You will also be responsible for servicing and maintaining car wash equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Erect and install carwash equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Travel to assigned installation locations for prolonged periods of time, including overnight travel
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Ensure installation deadlines are met
- Perform a site inspection to ensure proper functionality of all newly installed equipment and evaluate equipment performance prior to leaving site
- Ensure customer is adequately trained on proper operation of equipment
- Interact directly with customers by telephone, electronically, or face to face
- Diagnose and repair tunnel car wash equipment
- Stock, maintain and inventory all parts/items on truck
- Complete periodic maintenance on equipment
- Complete proper paperwork on all finished jobs daily
- Maintain a clean organized work environment
- Trouble shoot problems and issues with equipment
- Supply own personal hand tools including an electrical meter (power tools will be provided)
- Maintain all company property including vehicles, tools, and parts
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all OSHA guidelines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to climb ladders to heights over 14 feet
- Ability to be on your feet all day
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 10 degrees to 100 degrees indoors and outdoors
- Employee Safety and self-awareness should always be utilized around our equipment.
- You will be asked to lift/move/handle up to, but not limited to 50 pounds.
- Car wash locations create wet, hazardous conditions, extreme caution should always be taken.
- Ability to stand for majority of the work shift
- This position can be physically demanding.
- Must be willing to travel out of town
- InsMust Have a clean driving record
- Be Self- Motivated
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Will be able to maintain a positive team-oriented work environment
- Must have some electrical knowledge (480v to 24v)
- Must have some plumbing knowledge
- 2 years’ experience working in an industrial or installation environment
- Ability to work out of town on installations for up to 2 weeks at a time
- Willingness to work overtime which can include evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to read schematics
- Reliable transportation
