Job Description
The mission of a Staff Engineer for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction through preparation of detailed calculations, performing engineering analyses, and completing field assignments. Main areas of responsibilities include:
- Assist with engineering analyses
- Assist with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation plan development/revisions
- Assist with project document deliverables
- Assist with GIS/Database Maintenance
- Assist with preparation of figures and text for engineering reports
- Assist other personnel at the direction of manager
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college majoring in Civil or Architectural Engineering
- Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills
- Good work ethics
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience a plus
- GIS/Database knowledge a plus
- Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents
