Job DescriptionThese positions will be responsible for constituent services, tracking the number and type of constituent services provided, and development of recommendations for an effective approach to meet constituent needs. Constituent services include responding timely to individuals that arrive in-person in the Client office without an appointment and request assistance, responding to calls regarding individual cases, and responding to emails regarding requests for assistance for individual cases. Refer constituents to appropriate Client staff or to community-based services based on their need. These positions will be scheduled to make sure that at least one Constituent Resource Liaison is in the Client office every day.
Specific DutiesDevelopment of a Client resource guide for Client programs with key contacts.
Review of Client website with the intent to update old information.
Development of a Behavioral health resource guide for Kansas.
Respond timely to requests from constituents for individual cases and refer to appropriate Client staff,
other State Departments, and/or community-based services.
Develop and implement a tracking strategy for documenting the constituent services provided.
Skills RequiredIntermediate to advanced computer skills required (especially Excel).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong ability to synthesize information.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience RequiredMinimum of two years’ experience in customer service or public contact work required.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and the flexibility to creatively adapt to ever-changing circumstances and events is essential to success in this position.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local government structures as well as private sector resources is a plus.
Experience working with individuals in crisis, mental illness, substance use disorder, etc.
Previous experience working in a team environment.
Education RequiredBachelor’s degree in a Behavioral health or related field.
Knowledge of data tracking.
Physical Requirements (lifting, Repetitive Motion, Etc)Normal office environment.
