Position Summary:
The Software Project Manager 1 directs, plans, and executes system software projects. Identifies and manages project goals, scope, stakeholders, requirements, and risks. Communicates and collaborates with project stakeholders. Establishes schedules and budgets. Executes project delivery within the project parameters of time, scope, cost, and quality. The project manager is a team player, results-oriented, and dedicated to excellence.
Position Responsibilities May include:
• Assisting senior program managers in performing Project Control; develop an effective plan for controlling the project scope, schedule, and cost baseline, and monitor the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed.
• Supporting documentation and communication needs within the program.
• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring the work efforts of the project team daily.
• Provides feedback on the performance of all internal and external resources to the respective Mgr. and/or Director.
• Collaborate with the project sponsor and functional leader to understand the project’s scope, benefits, and benefactors.
• Responsible for communicating and/or reporting the status of all projects to senior leadership, as well as the business. Communication with the business (users) will include helping them understand the impact of the solution, the project's timeline, and expected functionality.
• Track and report key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the customers/business (users).
• Coordinate communication with all project stakeholders concerning the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort.
• Ensure that all functional deployment deliverables are within accepted department standards and procedures.
• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

• Possesses a broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education
• Has no discretion to deviate from established procedures by performing structured work assignments
• Work is closely supervised
• Problems faced are not typically difficult nor complex
• Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area
Knowledge & Skills:
• Familiar with Microsoft Project, including creating and maintaining a project schedule, identifying successor and predecessor project tasks, establishing schedule baselines, call out items of attention (date pushes due to scope change or increase in duration).
• Proven skills and abilities in managing enterprise level software projects end to end.
• High level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience implementing new processes and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the project team, business partners, and vendors.
• High levels of multi-tasking are required, and quick adaptability to change.
• Project Focus: understands, anticipates, and meets business and project needs.
• Ability to deliver on commitments consistently, take initiative, responsibility and be accountable.
• Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in software project management or related roles.
• Experience in coordinating software development projects, tracking progress, and managing stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or another related field
• Additional certifications or coursework in project management is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Work from home environment with visits to the office when needed.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and working from a computer.
• Travel requirement of up to 5%.
• Work environment occasionally contains forklift traffic, various PPE may be required.
• Some lifting may be required (up to 20 lbs.).
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking may be required.
