A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING DISPATCHER
As a Plumbing Dispatcher, you arrive each day ready to work hard to ensure maximum scheduling efficiency without compromising customer service.
Most of your day is spent in an office environment on the phone or computer. Your friendly and capable demeanor comes through as you receive incoming client calls and dispatch service calls to field technicians.
Over the phone, you inform clients of arrival times and ensure that they are notified ahead of time about any delays. And, as necessary, you reschedule appointments.
You schedule calls in order to provide prompt, convenient service, as well as maximize our field technicians' time and mileage.
You forecast days and weeks ahead to keep all employees working and on track as well as make sure that all job permits are obtained and current.
Either over the phone or face-to-face, you relay work orders, messages, and other information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors.
You confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests. For each work order, you determine the types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required.
You feel good ensuring that our clients are satisfied, all parties are well-informed, and everything runs smoothly!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLUMBING DISPATCHER
Supervisory, customer service, and dispatch experience are preferred but not required. Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal?
Can you manage your time well and effectively prioritize tasks? Do you keep your workspace clean and organized? Can you represent our company in a professional manner?
Do you have above-average customer service and problem-solving skills? Are you dependable? If yes, you might just be perfect for this office position!
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PLUMBING DISPATCHER
This in-office position has two available schedules, Monday - Thursday or Friday - Monday.
