Position: Quality Inspector (Clean Room Environment)

Shift: 1st Shift, 7am to 3:30pm

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer specifications by conducting thorough inspections in a cleanroom environment. This role involves collaborating with various teams to maintain quality standards, performing visual inspections, and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively addressing quality issues with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in visual inspections at a distance of 12” to 18” on a light table, as well as measuring and verifying assemblies.
• Ability to read and comprehend all SOPs, work instructions, blueprints, and Tappi Charts.
• Familiarity with reading tape measures and understanding job layouts.
• Capability to operate as part of a team, collaborating with various departments including production, engineering, and quality management.
• Capacity to make quality decisions independently and seek assistance when needed.
• Competence in reviewing product labels using customer and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with leads, process coordinators, and cleanroom personnel to ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions during manufacturing and assembly.
2. Offer suggestions for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and delivery processes.
3. Verify component lot numbers against device history records and ensure alignment with customer drawings.
4. Conduct first-piece inspections at each stage of production to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
5. Verify machine setups and recordkeeping accuracy as per SOPs.
6. Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Perform 100% visual final inspections to ensure assemblies meet customer expectations.
8. Fill in for Quality Inspectors during their absence.
9. Ensure proper disposition of non-conforming products through scrapping or re-work.
10. Assist in coaching team members on quality-related matters.
11. Collaborate closely with leads, process coordinators, and quality inspectors on quality decisions.
12. Verify packaging accuracy before releasing products from the cleanroom, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
