South Coast Construction Services, Inc. is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join the Preconstruction team. A qualified candidate will have the motivation and passion for providing high quality construction estimates and proposal packages. Detail orientation and an ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors is a critical quality for the individual in this position. Meeting project deadlines with accuracy will be essential to delivering solid project results. This position will require the ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads while working independently.

Responsibilities:

• The primary function is the preparation of project estimates including conceptual budgets, schematic, design development and construction document estimates.
• Create estimates for projects ranging between $500-$1,000,000 .
• Attend pre-bid / site visit meetings.
• Participate in value engineering meetings and offer support during preconstruction stage of projects.
• Negotiate with subcontractors to receive reasonable order costs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management. Preferably in the medical field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Strong communication & negotiation skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
