Quality Tech Services is Hiring an Assembler 3 - 1st Shift Near Bloomington, MN

Overview
***$1,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Pre-Tax)***
  • $300 paid on your 1st paycheck
  • $200 paid upon successful completion of your introductory period (90 days)
  • $500 paid upon successful completion of 6 months of employment
Sign-On Bonus Eligiblity: external candidates who are not currently employed by QTS or have previously been employed by QTS.

Responsibilities
Assembler 3 Position Summary
Responsible for performing any assembly and packaging of components into products for the medical industry. Train for and perform Line Lead duties as needed.This position will be based out of our facility located in west Bloomington, Minnesota (55438).
Assembler 3 Duties and Responsibilities
  • Back up Line Lead as needed
  • Inspect, assemble, and package medical devices and components
  • Responsible for proper documentation necessary to complete job
  • Train and perform duties required of the position of Line Lead as needed
  • Use tray, band, and impulse sealers
  • Perform tensile, peel and dye tests
  • Support Label Generation and Cleaning & Passivation area(s) as needed
  • Work with chemicals (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.) as needed to clean work area and components
  • Assist with weekly cleaning of production areas and common spaces
  • Work leadership of at least 2-3 employees
  • Ensure products are handled and assembled per QTS Quality Systems Procedures
  • Adhere to cGMP and ISO regulations
  • Maintain awareness of workplace safety and relevant training
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Assembler 3 Requirements/Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work the following shift schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm CT
  • Proficient in math skills required to complete all manufacturing procedures
  • English language (reading comprehension, listening, and writing)
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of computer operation
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • At least 1-3 years of the following experience:
    • Knowledge in assembly of all product families in the business unit
    • Assembly, manufacturing and cleanroom experience
    • Operation of all tray, band and impulse sealers
    • Knowledge or training pertaining to FDA, cGMP and ISO regulations
    • Knowledge or training pertaining to workplace safety and OSHA regulations
Assembler 3 Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Able to work overtime as needed (staying later during the week days or at least one weekend day)
  • Certificates
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
