Kansas City Urology Care is Hiring a Medical Office Specialist Near Leawood, KS

KCUC is a large urology, oncology and radiation private medical practice seeking a Medical Scheduler. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient flow of clinic by greeting patients, scheduling patients, collecting co-payments, answering phones, checking patients in and out for their appointments, scheduling radiology, prepping charts, taking messages and interacting with patients in a manner that reflects KCUC values with exceptional customer service. Candidate will also contribute to patient care by assisting physicians, adequately monitoring office and clinic inventory supplies, assisting nurses and other KCUC team members as necessary.

Respects the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients according to the HIPAA privacy notice.

Demonstrates courtesy and professional relationship towards patients, family members, KCUC staff members and others

Check patients in and out of clinic: verifying that all insurance information is correct in a timely manor. Scan all patient demographics and insurance cards, . Inform patients of all financial arrangements. Schedule appointments for patients returning to clinic and walk up patients.

Responsible for all monies received to include change fund and close out the daily deposit. Collect appropriate co-payments, payment authorizations and outstanding balances. Collect appropriate amounts for self-pay patients

Update patient demographics with each visit

Needs to be alert to perform job duties

Maintains cleanliness of work area and lobby; stocks assigned areas and ensures appropriate levels of supplies are maintained.

Must demonstrate courtesy and professional relationship towards patients, family members, KCUC staff members and others.
