FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $88,998.00
Pay Range: 15
Reports to: Director
Hours: 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m Monday-Friday*
*Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department.

What do we want you to bring to the table?
We are looking for a strong leader that delegates well and is extremely adaptable. Must be highly organized and have the ability to keep up with multiple projects simultaneously and ensure tasks are completed on time. Must have experience with accounting and budgeting, and experience in the public sector is a plus. You must have strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Must have demonstrated history of supervising, motivating and coaching staff. We're looking for a team player with a great attitude.
What do you need to have?
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or another area related to role and a minimum of 5 years related experience including operations management and staff supervision or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
What you will be doing?
In a typical day you will manage the agency budget including developing the budget, reconciling expenditures, monitoring funds in the budget, updating projections, and providing cost analyses on an as-needed basis. You will manage accounts payable, review vouchers, review payroll files submitted to the Fiscal Office, calculate election chargebacks, and approve the monthly purchases. You will oversee the procurement and vendor selection process including preparing bids, making contract award recommendations, and collaborating with the Prosecutor's Office on final contract language. You will research, evaluate and approve agency purchases. You will manage building operations including security, custodial, maintenance, and mail services. This includes ensuring work orders are processed, approving requests for additional security/custodial services, ensuring agency mail is received and delivered on a timely basis. You will review staffs' work, encourage training, and make sure individual benchmarks are met. You will schedule staff vacations, approve sick leave, conduct employee performance evaluations, and recommend discipline when needed. You will be responsible for monitoring staffing levels, preparing timesheets, and promoting employee morale, as well as coordinating and training staff.

The principal role of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is to perform the fundamental and vital functions of administering our elections. In carrying out its mission, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will seek to achieve the following objectives:
