Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Communications Specialist plays a key role in our multi-functional internal communications department, primarily responsible for creating and reviewing content for our internal audience. In this role, you will write various types of content, primarily on the internal side of the business but opportunities for our external audience. This role supports the Senior Manager and ensures content adheres to Raising Cane’s high standards.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Writes, edits and updates the written content for newsletters, event materials, company emails, internal engagement communications and other system-wide communications, including our internal company mobile application
  • Helps manage the editorial calendar and overall workflow of content submissions and requests from internal departments throughout the company - ensuring content is developed on time to our standards
  • Supports a broad range of digital communications – finding new ways to engage our ever-growing crewmember population
  • Proofreads, edits and fact-checks a variety of internal communications including Job Aids, Reference Aids, Guides, Manuals and other training-related content from a communications perspective
  • Assists in managing communications between our RSO and restaurants, serving as a point of contact for restaurant operators and internal departments
  • Collects content and information from internal departments and assists in writing weekly news and action items for restaurant operators
  • Acts as a liaison to various internal departments to provide communication support and to identify and create opportunities to promote department initiatives to internal audiences

Requirements for Success:

  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Intranet content creation/management experience a bonus
  • Internal mobile app content creation/management experience a bonus
  • Must maintain confidential information
  • Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree required - emphasis on Corporate Communications, Journalism, Communications
  • At least 2 years Communications experience, with an emphasis on field or internal communications preferred
