Psychiatry and Neurotherapy of Idaho is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant able to facilitate the daily functions of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This position is a great fit for a Medical Assistant who is passionate about patient care, possesses experience in mental health (not required), is efficient and well-organized, carries a positive attitude, is dependable and desires to work in a calm/easy going setting. Expected schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week.

You will be assisting patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, scheduling, and taking patient vitals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resolving medication prior authorizations from pharmacies & insurance companies
• Organize and coordinate patient appointments with office administrators
• Field calls from patients, i.e. prescription refills, clinical questions, referrals to outside services
• Screen and set up new patients for visits
• Update, file, and maintain patient records
• Enter and submit medication orders electronically
• Coordination and submission of laboratory orders

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant. Specialized training in psychiatry can be provided.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Degree in medical assistance

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
