IR Centers is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Leland, NC

IR Centers at Urology Associates of SE North Carolina is a Multidisciplinary Private Practice looking to add to our team in Wilmington, NC. We are an outpatient-based IR center performing minimally invasive endovascular procedures for the treatment of several conditions opening in April 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for an MA to be a part of our growing team in a brand new facility.

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart
  • Organize, authorize and schedule appointments for referrals
  • Send prescriptions electronically or by fax. Verbally call in prescriptions
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Punctual and self disciplined
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software to include E-clinical Works

Experience:

  • medical assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
