We have a client searching for a Systems Engineer. This is a 6-12 month contract/contract to hire. It will require 3 days in office.
The System Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining key infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage systems.
Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Configure and maintain system hardware, software, and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and IT assets.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
Create and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3 years of experience in system engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Experience with VMware.
Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms.
Knowledge of scripting languages.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
