We are currently on the lookout for Experienced Maintenance Crew Members to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of our clients' properties. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of grounds maintenance tasks including raking leaves, mowing, pruning, and edging
- Operate light landscape equipment and use hand tools in a safe manner
- Conduct thorough job site inspections and complete job site checklists
- Ensure public and crew safety during transit and on job sites
- Understand and implement planting procedures
- Ensure all tasks are completed within labor goals and meet company quality standards
- Report any issues promptly to the Field Supervisor
- Participate in safety meetings and demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Respond to customer requests within contract allowances
- Work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently with field staff and management
- Apply basic chemicals safely, if certified
- Demonstrate proper horticultural practices and basic knowledge of pests and diseases
- Perform various types of pruning and soil preparation
- Install annual color, plants, and trees
- Perform Winter Service tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in landscape and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate light landscape equipment and use hand tools safely
- Capability to visually identify at least 10 plants by name
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from Field Supervisor

I recently read a book called Setting the Table by Danny Meyer, founder of Shake Shack. The book is a game changer but simple. Focus on the client and hospitality. Everything else works out for the better when that happens.
