JOB TITLE: Clinical Manager

DEPARTMENT: Clinical

REPORTS TO: Director of Clinic Operations

EFFECTIVE DATE: 12/20/2023

SUMMARY: Oversee clinic organization, cleanliness and efficiency, while providing excellent patient care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee, establish, and coordinate daily clinic flow.
  • Ensure appliances are ready, or arriving as planned, according to patient schedule.
  • Check that clinic equipment and instruments are clean, sterilized and ready for daily use.
  • Ensure all clinic employees and students are following PPE regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Organize clinic stock, restock and order supplies as necessary.
  • Send and track specialty labs and appliances daily.
  • Create and maintain stock of all patient kits.
  • Update patient charts, scans, etc.
  • Respond to patient emails, phone calls and correspondence as directed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job will supervise the orthodontic assistants, clinical coordinators, and sterilization technicians, while overseeing the operations of the clinic, ensuring all clinic back-office and patients’ needs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), licensed/registered dental hygienist having obtained certification from an educational program accredited by the American Dental Association and 10 years’ experience as a licensed dental hygienist.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Computer skills preferred: Dolphin, Microsoft Dynamics CRM; Microsoft Outlook & Excel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity and talk or hear.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
  • The employee must frequently lift and /or move 5-10 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop.
  • Occasionally work around fumes or airborne particles
  • Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
