Job Description Summary

Primarily responsible for the finance and controllership activities involved with all aspects of investment accounting and reporting. Additional responsibilities include supporting other controllership activities inclusive of GAAP and statutory financial reporting, internal control review and execution, and variance and trend analysis. Provide information and reporting to GE Aerospace and NALH Senior Management, NALH legal entity Boards, regulatory, and rating agencies.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Serve as subject matter expert for all aspects of investment accounting and reporting
• Ensure proper controls are in place and operating effectively and execute internal controls
• Identify internal control weaknesses and potential process improvements
• Analyze key investment trends and drivers
• Perform variable analysis and document findings
• Assist with preparing and/or reviewing GAAP and statutory financials
• Prepare financial disclosures and supporting documentation
• Communicate investment portfolio information to GE Aerospace, NALH senior management, NALH legal entity Board of Directors, regulators, and rating agencies
• Fulfill external and internal audit requests
• Collaborate with internal investments and treasury teams
• Communicate with third party investment managers, pricing vendors, custodians, and accounting providers
• Prepare and/or review manual journal entries and account reconciliations
• The salary range for this position is $110,100.00 - $146,700.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years professional accounting experience
• Strong background in investment accounting and reporting
• Experience with internal control design and execution
• Experience managing projects and developing processes
• Proficient use of financial systems and MS office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems

Desired Characteristics:

• 2-3 years public accounting experience preferred
• Certified Public Accountant
• Financial services and insurance industry experience
• Experience with investment valuation and credit analysis
