PrideStaff is conducting a search for a Production Control Supervisor for our client who is a Precision Manufacturer.Our client has been an industry leader in the highly technical precision manufacturing industry serving clients in the Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Commercial markets for over 50 years.When you join our client's organization you are joining a company making a difference.
???????The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for timely processing of routers or work orders through the shop floor. The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for controlling the flow of the orders throughout the process. The Production Control Supervisor assures that all routings have standard time included. This position must understand the various machine cycle times and time per operation toschedule jobs to meet the customer due dates.Will work closely with purchasing to ensure on time receipt ofsupplier materials and outside special processes (e.g. plating). Will keep management updated on status of criticalcustomer orders and will become the major interface with customers expediting and seeking order status.
Position Responsibilities
- Review customer order demand to schedule and plan the shop floor work orders (routers) and materialrequirements for purchasing.
- Assemble job packets or routers for the production team
- Perform accurate data entry using specified software platforms
- Run inventory cycle counts and report findings
- Communicate with various department members for order status updates
- Update routings working with engineering
- Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders
- Two (2) or more years materials or manufacturing planning experience ideally in a machining shop
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Excel
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to work overtime, if required
