PrideNow is hiring a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for one of our HVAC manufacturing clients in Trenton, NJ

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems repair.
• sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; and examining form and texture of parts.
• changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as but not limited to a vertical milling machine, drill press, Lathe, and welding.
• equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; and establishing personal networks.
• continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• communicate problems and solutions to resolve mechanical problems.
• in the on-the-job training of line mechanics and apprentices as needed.
• a computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information.
• safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyman's papers or equivalent degree with 3 to 5 years of experience performing complex work in industrial maintenance as a machine repair mechanic is strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, layout, install, and maintain various equipment.
• Physical examination required
